So you can also ride backwards. Shift freewheel means that the pedals will not spin around at rest. You can manually shift SF to ride backwards. Brake freewheel gives the choice of forward motion but also reverse movement just using the pedals. All the advantages of the BF integrated with a 3 speed gearbox All the advantages of the BF integrated with a 7  speed gearbox Freewheel is the forward riding only arrangement and is the standard feature on some models but can be easily be changed for an automatic freewheel
